if you give a girl a grocery list

Today I was inspired by the If You Give a Pig a Pancake series to write a tale of my own iPhone-induced ADD. It's called:

If You Give a Girl (with an iPhone) a Grocery List

If you give a girl (with an iPhone) a grocery list, she'll want to visit the app store to see if there's an app for writing grocery lists.

While she's in the app store, she'll spot a new app for recipes

"$15.99 for an app?!?" she'll yell, "that's crazy! I need to look at the recipe apps I already have."

On the recipe app she that already has, she'll stumble upon a delicious-looking recipe for lemon basil shrimp

While she heads to the freezer to see if she has any shrimp, she'll start thinking about the mercury content of frozen shrimp.

She'll Google "mercury content in frozen shrimp" and a 3 day detox juice cleanse will catch her eye.

When she's done reading about the 3 day detox juice cleanse, a list of trillions of recipes with gazillions of ingredients will pop up.

And if she clicks on the list of gazillions of ingredients...she will want to make a grocery list.

What's distracting you these days?

  1. Love this Jen, very creative and totally true!
we are big Laura Numeroff fans here... I have a hysterical video of Noah reading one of her books to his cousin when they were 3 or 4 and he was teaching him how to say " the author is laura numeroff". it was so funny.
