My husband and I are two native Floridians raising our two daughters as second generation South Floridians if that even is such a thing.
I strive to be the kind of adult that I want my daughters to be when they grow up. Compassionate, fair, self-disciplined, but always ready for a good time.
I work from home in communications, and I'm grateful that I get to straddle the line between being a stay-at-home mom and a being working mom. Most days it is the absolute best of both worlds, but some days it is really hard.
My favorite color is orange. My favorite food is spaghetti. My favorite book is Gone With the Wind (sorry, I'm not sorry). My favorite show is Felicity followed very closely by Homeland. My Starbucks order is a tall flat white.
The Elizabeth Letter is where I attempt to sort out my thoughts about books I've read, foods I've eaten, movies I've watched, parenting highs and lows, plans I've made, cool stuff I've bought and places I've traveled.
Because, as Joan Didion so eloquently remarked, "I don't know what I think until I write it down."

- I like: election years, going to the movies, coloring with my kids, waking up before everyone else (doesn't happen that often) cookbooks, cats, Kings of Leon, jeans, sneakers, orange juice, Peter Pan and Christmas cards.
- I don't like: horror movies, Power Point, today's country music, cocktail attire, fall-scented anything and people who look at their phones when you're trying to talk to them.
