ArtKive

Just in time for back-to-school I discovered the (free!!) ArtKive app, and I'm really excited about it. It's a simple iPhone app that stores, time stamps and saves your children's art work. You could do something similar on your own with your iPhone and a separate "art" folder- but the advantage to ArtKive is that it stamps and sorts each photo with your child's name, date and year in school. Pretty nifty! It also has an easy interface for sharing artwork with friends and family.

  1. This is ingenious! I STILL have Eliza's pre-school pile of her "best art" to photograph ... and my hope was to always do it when she came home. She starts school again next week, so I MUST do something with the old things!!!

    1. Thanks Christine! I know- I'm getting overwhelmed by the paper associated with one child in PK3! I can't imagine what five years from now would look like. I hope I can really stick with this- it would be cool to have an entire digital collection!

  2. We hope you can stick with it too! The best part is that you'll be able to turn it into a book at the end with little more than the press of a button! Send us feedback if you find ways we can make it even better for you - feedback@thekivecompany.com
